Long before Char Foss-Eggemann announced her candidacy for Maine Township GOP Committeeman, she was involved in her community as a charity worker and fundraiser, a Cub Scout Leader, and a helpful friend and neighbor. Char is the kind person Ronald Reagan would describe as a “compassionate conservative”.
Char currently works as a corporate counsel consultant for LexisNexis, one of the world’s largest online database services. Char also serves as her company’s designated LexisNexis Cares Champion and is responsible for planning corporate charity events in the Chicagoland area.
An attorney by background, Char has provided free services to those in need through her affiliation with the groups such as Pro Bono Advocates and the Veterans Legal Support Center at the John Marshall Law School.
Char is a committed fiscal conservative who serves the community as a member of the Park Ridge Library Board of Trustees. Char also cares for her local community by working to raise money for those in need as a volunteer in the Park Ridge Newcomers Club and the Park Ridge Community Women. She also finds time to serve on the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital’s Oncology Department Council of Advisors and serve as President of the Republican Women of Park Ridge.
As a political organizer and fundraiser, Char has most recently provided invaluable assistance to the campaigns of Republican Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum, Republican State Representative Candidate Susan Sweeney, as well as Jim O’Donnell, Dan Patlak and Bob Dold.
Char is a member of both the Holy Name Cathedral and the Edison Park Lutheran Church.
Char is married to Mark and is mother of sons Ty, Wil and Christian.
